One Step GPS Named to the 2026 Inc. 5000 for the Sixth Consecutive Year

Aug 14, 20269m
One Step GPS has earned a place on the 2026 Inc. 5000, ranking No. 3586 on Inc.'s annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. It marks our sixth consecutive year on the list — an unbroken run that began in 2021, and one that says as much about how One Step GPS operates as about how fast it has grown.

What the Inc. 5000 measures

The Inc. 5000 is an annual ranking of the fastest-growing independent, privately held companies in the United States. Companies are ordered by percentage revenue growth over a three-year window; the 2026 list measures growth from 2022 through 2025. To qualify, a company must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent — not a subsidiary or division of another company — and must have been generating revenue by the spring of 2022.
A single strong year is common. Appearing six years in a row is a different signal: the growth has to keep compounding against an ever-higher base, and the business has to hold together operationally while it does. That combination — sustained demand plus the capacity to serve it — is what the streak actually reflects.

From No. 199 to a six-year streak

One Step GPS first appeared on the Inc. 5000 in 2021 at No. 199, our debut placement, and we've returned every year since — through 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and now 2026. Over the same stretch, we crossed 20,000 active commercial fleets and grew our footprint to roughly 6% of the Fortune 100.
Rankings move year to year as thousands of fast-growing companies cycle on and off the list. What matters more than any single position is that One Step GPS has stayed on it through every one of those cycles. Steady, repeatable growth is harder to manufacture than a single breakout year, and we believe it points back to something durable in our underlying model.

Why the growth held

Sustained growth is uncommon in a category still defined by multi-year contracts, tiered plans, and pricing you have to request. We built this business as the opposite of each, and the reasons customers give for choosing — and staying with — us line up closely with the reasons we continue landing on the list.

No long-term contracts

The most visible difference is what isn't there: a contract. Service is month-to-month, with no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
In an industry where most providers write multi-year agreements — and where early termination often means paying out the full remaining balance — that structure changes the relationship.
By contrast, we have to keep earning a customer's business every month rather than relying on a signature to hold it. In Berg Insight's ranking of the largest fleet management providers in North America by installed base, One Step GPS is the only one that operates entirely without long-term contracts. See our no-contract commitment.

Transparent, flat-rate pricing

Pricing is published, not quoted. Our GPS tracking starts at $13.95 per vehicle per month, with no equipment purchase fees and no charges for standard location updates, three years of data retention, or additional users. Hardware is loaned with the subscription and carries a lifetime warranty — faulty units are replaced at no cost.
For fleets used to enterprise platforms that gate features behind tiers and add line items for hardware and seats, the appeal is less about the headline number than about knowing the whole number before committing to anything.

U.S.-based, in-house support

In operations software, support is part of the product: when a device or a report needs attention, the speed of the answer is the difference between a minor task and a stalled morning. One Step GPS keeps our support team in-house and U.S.-based — not outsourced — and our measurements show 99% of issues are resolved on the first call, with a 99% customer-satisfaction rating and an average resolution time under five minutes.
This service record was recognized at the 2025 American Business Awards, where we were honored with a Grand Stevie and a Gold Stevie for customer service.

A platform fleets stick with

Reliability and ease of use are the two things customers mention most in third-party reviews — ahead of any single feature. One Step GPS holds a 4.9 / 5 average across more than 3,600 public reviews and a perfect Capterra score for ease of use, and it sits on Capterra's 2026 Fleet Management shortlist.
Crucially, within any device category — GPS, ELD, Dashcams — there are no feature tiers to climb: every account gets the full platform, and the only variable is how many devices are on it.

The Okaloosa County fleet department, for example, expanded its deployment from 100 devices to more than 420 over three years on the platform — the same growth, at the customer level, that our six years on the Inc 5000 recognizes. Read customer stories.

What the platform includes

Because of our flat-rate pricing, every fleet — a two-truck shop or a 400-vehicle operation — works from the same toolset. The core capabilities:
  • Live tracking and history. A real-time map with updates as often as every 1-30 seconds, plus three years of location history for operational review, audits, and dispute resolution.
  • Alerts and geofencing. Configurable text and email alerts for speeding, idling, after-hours use, geofence entry and exit, and device tamper or unplug events — tunable so notifications stay useful instead of becoming noise.
  • Safety and dashcams. Driver-behavior monitoring for coaching, plus optional AI dual-facing dashcams with privacy controls, including front-facing-only and audio-off configurations for fleets that want them.
  • Maintenance and diagnostics. Engine-diagnostic reads and service reminders based on mileage or engine hours, so maintenance happens on schedule rather than after a breakdown.
  • Compliance. IFTA and mileage reporting. For fleets that need HOS automation, FMCSA-registered ELD with DVIRs are +$7.00/driver per month.
  • Asset and theft protection. Trailer and equipment tracking, battery- and solar-powered trackers that mount to unpowered assets, and fast location recovery for stolen vehicles and gear.
  • Hardware options. Plug-in OBD-II trackers that install in under a minute, hardwired and rugged units for discretion or harsh environments, battery- and solar-powered units for asset tracking, ELDs, and dashcams — all under the lifetime warranty.
  • Integrations. 82+ prebuilt integrations in the marketplace, plus an open API for connecting tracking data to in-house or third-party systems. See all features.

What fleets use it for, by industry

The 20,000+ fleets on the platform range from single-vehicle businesses and small fleets of 1-50 vehicles, to mid-sized fleets of 51-250, to large operations above 250 — with the same pricing model and feature set at every size. What differs is the job the platform is doing.

Construction

For construction fleets, asset and trailer tracking and theft recovery are usually the first priorities. Equipment and trailers are high-value, frequently left on site, and expensive to replace or wait on — so battery-powered trackers on unpowered assets and fast recovery of stolen gear often justify the system on their own. Idle and after-hours alerts add a second layer, surfacing fuel waste and off-book use at the job site.

Field services

In field service operations, the value is dispatch and responsiveness: a live map for assigning the nearest technician, accurate ETAs for customers, and one dashboard that combines location, history, and reporting. Teams stop calling drivers for check-ins, and the hours previously spent reconciling job times and routes come back.

Government

Public fleets operate under procurement rules and annual budgets, and the no-contract, published-pricing model fits both — there is no multi-year commitment to justify and no surprise line items at renewal. Long history retention and audit-ready reporting support records requests and internal review. Government fleets such as county departments are a common and growing segment, including operations that have scaled their device counts several times over.

Transportation and logistics

For transportation and logistics fleets, compliance tends to be the anchor: FMCSA-registered ELD and IFTA and mileage reporting. Route visibility and detailed history also support day-to-day dispatch and help reconstruct events or exonerate drivers when a dispute arises.
Beyond these, the platform is widely used across utilities, agriculture, last-mile delivery, landscaping, and passenger transit. Much of the company's growth has come from operators in these fields expanding their own deployments over time — adding vehicles and assets as the model proves out, rather than committing everything up front.

Part of a broader pattern

The Inc. 5000 streak isn't our only repeat recognition. One Step GPS has been certified a Great Place to Work three years running (2023-2025), earned multiple Stevie Awards, including customer service and technology, in 2025 and 2026, and has ranked among Capterra, Software Advice, and G2's most highly rated fleet management solutions. The pattern points in the same direction as the growth: a business that customers and employees stay with.
Our posture backs the operational side of that — we are SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, with encryption in transit and at rest.

What this changes for customers — nothing

Recognition is a byproduct of the model, not a reason to change it. Pricing stays public and flat. There are still no contracts and no cancellation fees. Support stays in-house and U.S.-based, and every core feature stays available to every account.
The 2026 placement reflects how One Step GPS already operates; it is not a signal of a new direction, a new pricing tier, or a change in terms.

For fleets evaluating their options

To the customers who made the 2026 list possible: thank you. Growth like this is a direct result of fleets choosing a platform with simple terms and then staying long enough to grow on it.
For teams weighing fleet tracking providers, the most useful next step is a direct comparison. We publish a side-by-side provider comparison and a full company facts page covering pricing, hardware, security, integrations, and support — the same details, laid out plainly, that fleets tend to weigh before they switch.
