One Step GPS Wins Two 2026 Stevie® Awards at The International Business Awards®
Aug 27, 2026•5m

We earned recognition in two categories: Customer Service Department of the Year and Technology Department of the Year. Both awards trace back to a single nomination, The Innovative Customer Service Department at One Step GPS, and both point at the same thing: a U.S.-based, in-house team that answers the phone, keeps the platform running, and tells fleets the real price.
Key takeaways
- One Step GPS won two Bronze Stevie® Awards at the 2026 International Business Awards, for Customer Service Department of the Year and Technology Department of the Year.
- The recognition reflects a documented service record: 99% CSAT, 99% first-call resolution, and a 4.34-minute average time to resolution, delivered by a 100% U.S.-based, in-house team.
- Every Stevie winner had to clear the same bar: an average score of at least 8.0 out of 10 from at least five independent judges, so a Bronze here reflects a real quality threshold, not a small field.
- Because One Step GPS operates without long-term contracts, that service standard has to hold every month, not just at award season.
| Award | Level | Program | Year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer Service Department of the Year | Bronze Stevie® | The International Business Awards® (23rd Annual) | 2026 |
| Technology Department of the Year | Bronze Stevie® | The International Business Awards® (23rd Annual) | 2026 |
Both wins were entered under the same nomination, The Innovative Customer Service Department at One Step GPS. The 2026 IBAs drew more than 3,800 nominations from organizations in 78 nations and territories, and winners were announced on August 12, 2026.
How International Stevie winners are chosen
Judging runs in a single round over roughly two months, with more than 200 professionals worldwide reviewing entries across specialized committees. Many are former Stevie winners; others apply and are vetted by Stevie Awards staff, then assigned to categories that match their industry and expertise.
Every entry is read and scored independently by no fewer than five qualified judges, on a scale of 1 to 10. An entry has to earn an average of at least 8.0 to be conferred for any Stevie Award at all, regardless of category. Within each qualifying category, the highest-scoring entry takes Gold, the next 45% of qualifying entries take Silver, and the rest are recognized with Bronze. Claims made in entries can be audited and any entry found to contain false or misleading information is disqualified.
"Awards like these are handed out on a stage, but they're earned on the phone and in the codebase. Our support specialists and our engineers work on the same problem from two sides every day, keeping fleets running and keeping the platform reliable. Because we don't lock anyone into a long-term contract, we have to be worth choosing again every month, and that's the standard this team holds with or without an award season. I'm grateful the judges saw what our customers already tell us, and prouder still of the people who make it routine." — Adam Ben Jacob, COO, One Step GPS.
Why an award for service matters in fleet software

For fleet operators, support isn't a side feature; it's part of the product. When a device needs remapping or a report won't pull the way a dispatcher expects, the speed and quality of the answer decide how much of the day gets lost. Customers describe fast, human support as the thing that reduces downtime and keeps confidence high.
That's the context that makes the Customer Service Department recognition meaningful rather than decorative. Third-party recognition, paired with internal service metrics, is one of the few credible ways to quantify something as slippery as "good support." Here, we run support entirely in-house, staffed by trained platform specialists rather than outsourced agents, and publish the numbers behind it:
| Measure | Result |
|---|---|
| Customer satisfaction (CSAT) | 99% |
| First-call resolution | 99% |
| Average time to resolution | 4.34 minutes |
| Platform uptime | 99.99% |
| Support model | 100% U.S.-based, in-house specialists |
What customers actually point to
In public reviews across industries, and from large and small fleets alike, the reasons people give for staying with One Step GPS focus on a few stable items: reliability, responsive support, and ease of use, not a long tail of niche features. A phrase that recurs in support-related reviews is some version of they answer immediately, and that responsiveness becomes part of how customers describe the brand.
★★★★★
"One of the most important things to us with the switch was the customer service. The onboarding process was smooth; it was easy. We got white glove treatment. They literally held our hands every step of the way with polite, professional, outstanding people."Ed KeeleyDirector of Business Intelligence and Analytics
★★★★★
"They worked to find us the right mix and got us the equipment quickly. Every time I call with questions they are always answered in a timely and thorough fashion."Wadeworks LLCMining and Oil Industry
★★★★★
"Customer service is A+. One Step GPS app is so user friendly, easy to navigate, run reports, set up users and manage groups, devices, and settings."Okaloosa CountyFleet Department (Local Government)
The technology behind the service
The second Bronze, Technology Department of the Year, recognizes another aspect of that same focus on customer-centricity. We build our platform with in-house software engineers, which is why the support and product sides operate in unison rather than passing tickets across a vendor boundary.
Fleets experience that as reliability: no coverage gaps, no accuracy anxiety, a live map that turns guesswork into certainty at a glance.
★★★★★
"We went out in the middle of nowhere because many times out there in those rural areas, you can't even get a cell signal. Your system was the only one that passed the test. It continued to function down in canyons, down in hard-to-reach areas that even in some cases our radios couldn't reach."Fire Chief Ronald PrayDumas TX Fire Department
The platform runs at 99.99% uptime and is backed by security that matters increasingly in mid-market procurement: SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification, encryption in transit and at rest, and recurring third-party audits. For fleets whose IT or compliance teams have to sign off on a vendor, that certification language is often what makes the choice defensible.
Recognizing the same nomination in both the Customer Service and Technology categories isn't luck of the draw. It reflects how the work actually happens: engineers and support specialists solving the same problems from two directions.
The part the award doesn't change
It's worth being plain about what a trophy is and isn't. Every one of these awards traces back to a customer who called in, sent a note, left a review, or simply kept renewing because the tool kept working.
We operate without long-term contracts, which means the relationship is renewed month to month. We have to keep earning it. Buyers read the model exactly that way: if the service slips, they can leave, so the standard has to hold every month, not just the month an award is announced.

"I have had the competition call me and try to persuade me to cancel and go with their products but I can't find a reason I would want to... I absolutely hate using their product after using One Step GPS. Great job, keep up the good work!"Shanna TownerTransportation & Trucking
