What the Integration Does

We've built a dedicated Whip Around screen directly inside the One Step GPS app that's accessible from your left navigation bar, just like any other module.
You don't switch tabs or log into a second system, Whip Around's inspection and maintenance dashboard appears inside the same platform where you're already tracking your fleet.

From the Whip Around screen inside OSG, you can see your full inspection and defect dashboard:
  • Inspections completed with pass rate
  • Average inspection time
  • Defects reported
  • Average days to correct
Drill down further and you'll see the percentage of inspected assets, active inspecting drivers, and assets currently carrying defects alongside charts that show drivers with the best inspections records and assets with the most open issues.
Defects are tracked with full priority and status visibility — New, In Progress, Corrected, or No Correction Needed — so your team isn't just seeing that a defect exists, but where it stands in the resolution queue and how urgent it is.
On the data side, One Step GPS automatically syncs odometer readings, engine hours, and location to Whip Around.
This is what powers Whip Around's interval-based service programs which can fire on mileage, engine hours, and calendar time simultaneously. Without accurate, real-time meter data, those triggers rely on manual entry. With the integration, they stay current automatically.

Why This Is Built Differently

Most telematics-to-maintenance connections work by sending telematics data into an external maintenance system, like odometer readings that trigger service reminders, DTC codes that create repair tickets.
That's the foundation of what this integration does too, but we took it a step further.
Rather than only pushing One Step GPS data into Whip Around, we've also pulled Whip Around's interface directly into One Step GPS — rendered as a native screen inside our app.
The result is that inspection and maintenance visibility becomes part of your GPS workflow, not a destination you navigate to when something goes wrong.
